The practice is expected to reduce the spread of the Covid-19, and hopefully can bring back us to normal condition. This action is required for everyone, including foreigners who are currently in Bali and cannot go back to their hometown.

Responding to the “force majeure” events, such as natural disasters or this covid-19 crisis that cause travelers or businessman to overstay in the Bali, or other areas in Indonesia, travelers can get emergency stay permits. It was announced on March 24th 2020, on The Directorate General of Immigration Indonesia’s social media account, as well as on their official website. From their social media, they inform everyone, especially for foreigners, automated the extension process of emergency stay permit for all foreigners who travel or has a business matters in Indonesia.

But don’t forget to take a note, that this regulation is only valid for foreigners who came to Indonesia after February 5, 2020. The extension of stay permit is also free of charge. Foreigners also no need to go to immigration office, as the stay permit will be extended automatically. There is nothing to worry about if the requirements applies to the foreigners’s situation.
